Dr. Thi Hai Dang
Senior Lecturer
Dr Thi Hai Dang has over a decade of applied research experience across Vietnam and Australia, specialising in agricultural value-chain and market-institution analysis. This includes extensive involvement in Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) funded beef cattle and livestock value-chain projects in the northern uplands of Vietnam, examining pricing, bargaining, consumer and market information, animal-health arrangements and smallholder participation in cattle markets directly aligned with the institutional innovations this project investigates. He is skilled in mixed-methods research design (surveys, interviews, focus groups), cost-benefit and risk analysis, and stakeholder engagement across government, industry, donor and smallholder communities. Dr Dang has secured competitive research funding from French Agricultural Research Centre for International Development (CIRAD) and Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT, Vietnam (CGIAR) and holds a growing record of peer-reviewed and applied research outputs.
