In addition to the Academic Integrity Policy, the Responsible Research Conduct Policy ensures that your research adheres to the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research 2018. As a research student in one of our coursework Masters, you will undertake a capstone project, such as Agribusiness, Agroinformatics, Business, depending on your course. Or you may choose to delve deep into extended Business research in your area of interest. The Institute encourages integrative research methods that value diverse forms of knowledge, including lived experience. If you plan to undertake human research, you should include this information in your Expression of Interest Form. Any human research must comply with our Research Ethics Policy which upholds the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research 2023. This may require completion of a Participant Consent Form and/or Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement.

LI has a Memorandum of Understanding with Christian Research Association, an external, registered Human Research Ethics Committee. No research involving human subjects can commence until you have completed appropriate ethics training and obtained the required approvals. At the end of each of semester, research students who received human research ethics approval submit an Annual Review of Research Ethics Form to the relevant Program Director. All researchers have an obligation and a personal responsibility to conduct research in an ethical and professional manner. We take all concerns about research conduct seriously. To raise a concern or make a complaint, you can submit a Complaints, Grievances and Appeals Form.

Ethical misconduct can also be reported directly to Christian Research Association which, upon investigation, may withdraw its approval for a project. Illegal activities in the context of research must be reported to the police. Where projects have been approved, researchers must inform the Association of any major change to their research which may impact on ethical approval.
