RS702 Literature Review For Publication
DESCRIPTION
This unit explores how to plan, manage, critique, and present a literature review for publication. Students are equipped with skills to critique existing scholarship, identify research gaps, and craft research questions and hypotheses. The literature review’s direction, dimensions, and potential publication outlet are tailored to individual student needs at the discretion of the Unit Coordinator. Students learn how to structure a research publication, position their work in relation to current research, develop a clear and compelling argument with sufficient evidence, and find an appropriate journal/conference for submission. They also become familiar with peer review and publishing processes, critically analysing scholarship on academic writing and publishing.
