Course Rationale

The Graduate Diploma of Business Research equips students with knowledge and skills to identify a gap in scholarly literature, utilise advanced business research methods, and present a detailed research proposal. Through independent research, students identify, investigate, and address a complex challenge in their area of business. Students present findings, demonstrating a contribution the business sector.

Graduates of the Graduate Diploma of Research may find employment in management roles in a relevant occupational field, such as business and industry, entrepreneurial start-ups, not-for-profit organisations, public sector departments, and educational institutions that require skills in research and critical thinking. Additionally, graduates may choose to progress to continue into the Master of Business Research.

Admission

Completion of an AQF Level 7 or above (or equivalent) in a relevant business field with a minimum GPA of 4.5 (using a 7.0-point scale)

IELTS of 6.5, with a score of not less than 6.0 in any of the four skill areas, or equivalent
