AAI Research Centre was established, in 2024, to advance Leaders Institute’s vision to become a leading private Australian higher education institute in globally sustainable industries. Our researchers are some of the world’s leading scholars in agribusiness, agricultural information management, and global food security. The mandate of AAI Research Centre is to foster innovative, digitally enhanced agribusiness and agriculture research to solve real-world challenges.

AAI Research Centre Director

AAI Research Centre Director, Professor Harvinder Singh, is one of Australia’s foremost specialists in informatics, traditional and molecular plant breeding approaches for the improvement and management of cereal crops, and medicinal plants. He has published over 50 research articles in peer reviewed journals, books and conference proceedings, as well as securing numerous patents. Notably he achieved a patent in the United States of America: AUTOMATED GUIDED SCHEDULE AGRICULTURE SPRAYING MACHINE (Publication Number: US 2024/0074341 A1).

AAI Research Centre priorities are threefold:

AAI Research Centre has initiated interinstitutional, collaborative projects with leading universities across the world to advance the field.

AAI Research Centre showcases the work of research staff and students through news updates. The Centre also provides competitive grants for staff and students to present at academic conferences.

3. Research Impact

AAI Research Centre scholars attract competitive research grants to produce high impact publications and cutting-edge patents that meet the needs of local, regional, and professional communities.

Note: While the focus of AAI Research Centre is on agribusiness, agriculture, and related fields, it is also inclusive of wider research in other disciplines.
